Egypt will take on Belgium in a friendly before this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals, according to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
EFA board member Mohamed Aboul-Waffa confirmed the friendly – scheduled for June 6 – in televised comments made Saturday.
Aboul-Waffa said the EFA is working on securing another friendly after taking on Belgium.
Egypt’s World Cup warm-up schedule starts with a friendly against Portugal on March 23, followed by a match against Greece on March 27.
The Pharaohs will compete in Group A of the 2018 FIFA World Cup alongside hosts Russia, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia.
