Egypt continued its descent down FIFA’s World Ranking, falling five spots to 30th in the September edition of the monthly list.

The Pharaohs’ 1-0 loss to Uganda in Kampala was the culprit for the slide, though they beat the Cranes by that same scoreline in Alexandria five days later.

Egypt had ascended to 19th earlier in the year after its run to the Africa Cup of Nations final.

The team remains tops in Africa, but are just one spot ahead of 31st-ranked Tunisia.

33. Senegal
42. Congo DR
44. Nigeria
45. Cameroon
49. Burkina Faso
52. Ghana
