Egypt names 15 abroad for Uganda qualifiers

Egypt has called-up 15 foreign-based players for the team’s crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying double against Uganda.

Manager Héctor Cúper will name his full squad after the conclusion of Egypt’s domestic cup on August 15.

The Pharaohs face Uganda in Kampala on Aug. 31, before clashing again on Sept. 5 in Alexandria.

Egypt is top of Group E with six points, followed by Uganda with four.

Ghana, currently third on one point, are looking to get back into contention when they face Congo back-to-back.

Defenders: Ahmed Hegazi (West Bromwich, ENG), Omar Gaber (FC Basel, SUI), Karim Hafez (RC Lens, FRA), Ahmed Elmohamady (Hull City, ENG), Mohamed Abdel-Shafy (Al Ahli, KSA)

Midfielders: Mohamed ElNeny (Arsenal, ENG), Sam Morsy (Wigan Athletic, ENG), Amr Warda (Feirense, POR)

Wingers: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, ENG), Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City, ENG), Mahmoud Trezeguet (Kasımpaşa, TUR), Mostafa Fathi (Al Taawoun, KSA)

Forwards: Ahmed Hassan Koka (SC Braga, POR), Mahmoud Kahraba (Al Ittihad, KSA)
