Egypt international Alexander Jakobsen has drawn interest from a pair of Portuguese Premeira Liga outfits, according to reports out of both Denmark and Portugal.
Better known as Amir Adel within Egyptian circles, Jakobsen is said to be drawing interest from both Boavista FC and Vitória de Guimarães.
Jakobsen is coming off of a solid season with Danish club Viborg FF and previously drew interest from clubs in China.
“Viborg would like Alexander to continue with the club, and [Jakobsen] is ready to do so. But he has the talent to play in a number of places, therefore we are looking for opportunities,” Paramount Sports Management’s Freebody Appiah, Jakobsen’s adviser, told Denmark’s Bold.dk.
“We are looking outside Denmark’s borders, even though there has been Danish interest as well.
“As for China, now is not the time. We’ve talked to Alexander about it and it’s a waste of talent to send him there right now. He has to go somewhere where he can continue his development so that he can eventually end up in one of the top five leagues,” Appiah says.
Jakobsen made his Egypt debut in a 3-0 friendly win over Togo in March.
